The brief

Make the giving model easy to understand.

At The Giving Plate, customers can buy a meal for someone else alongside their own order. The identity needed to make that model feel like part of the everyday experience.

The cafe is connected to a floral studio. Botanical imagery brings the two spaces together, while circular motifs echo the idea of giving coming back around.

Visual identity

A brand that belongs in both spaces.

I carried the botanical direction through the logo system and practical applications, from packaging and business cards to the materials customers see in the cafe.

Process

Putting it all together.

The digital presence began with a pre-launch page and newsletter signup, giving people a way to follow the cafe before the full website was ready.

I built and continue to host the website. Email designs extend the identity into subscriber communications, and event photography gives the cafe content to use across its social channels and emails.

Deliverables

See it in action.

The identity carries into guidelines, menu design, social content, and the website. The work gives the cafe a consistent way to explain its offer and invite participation.

The outcome

An identity people can encounter and use.

The cafe has a connected brand and digital presence, supported by a website I manage and content designed for reuse. The Giving Plate has also been featured on regional television.
